Day 37 of 100 Days of Good Karma.
Today was a lazy day.
I woke up. I posted Day 36. My productivity stopped there.
We wore the same clothing we slept in. All day.
I cleaned out my email inbox. I responded to a few. I marked another 200 or so ‘read’ without even looking at them.
I stalked people on Facebook.
I looked up the lyrics to The Lazy Song. Then I looked up a video teaching me how to Dougie.
Six minutes and forty seconds later I felt very white and uncoordinated so I moved on to reading the news.
I left my phone in the bedroom. I didn’t look at it once.
(sorry Mom… I’ll call you tomorrow)
I took a nap.
Justin took a nap.
The dog took a nap.
(Why don’t kids like to nap?)
I made sugar cookies and blue cupcakes with the kids.
I marveled at Connor’s ability to get blue cupcake batter everywhere. Even on the back of his neck.
I painted my toes.
Hannah and I watched stupid cat videos on YouTube.
We ate left overs.
Eventually, we took showers.
And changed into new pajamas.
And went to bed.
Today’s silver lining: This is what we call a Fat Sunday.
It was perfect.
What’s your silver lining today? I love comments!
