    Day 49 of 100 Days of Good Karma.

    {Guest post by Monica.  While the ‘Meghan is inspirational’ part makes me squirm a little, the rest of what she wrote is true.  I hope you will join us.  ~Meghan}

    On October 4th, 2014 we are lacing up our sneakers and walking to support the 2014 Komen Houston Race for the Cure with an amazing team of dedicated people. Our goal is to raise money to support the search for a breast cancer cure and save lives.

    Likely you know a friend or relative that is battling or has battled this terrible disease, and can understand the importance of fighting this serious disease together.

    Supporting this race for a cure is very special to us, as we are forming a team to support someone near and dear to us. We are dedicating our walk and hearts to our wonderful friend Meghan as she bravely fights this tough battle against breast cancer.

    Meghan has already been such an inspiration to us with a positive outlook, a giving heart, and endless smiles. Through her tender and heart-warming stories posted on her daily blog (#100DaysofGoodKarma), she reminds us just how precious family, friends, and life truly are. We are asking that you help Meghan and help support the cause to raise funds and awareness to cure breast cancer and to save lives.

    How can you help?
    Join the fight by registering as part of our team, “Save a Life, Grope Your Wife!” (link at bottom of email) or by supporting our efforts with a pledge contribution. The money raised through the Race will fund vital education, screening and treatment programs for underserved women in our own community and support the national search for a cure.

    T-shirts to Support Meghan:
    We are ordering “Save a Life, Grope Your Wife” t-shirts for our team to wear to support Meghan on walk-day.  If you’d like to order a t-shirt, please email socrleo@yahoo.com and let us know quantities and sizes by 9/8/14.  T-shirt cost is $15 per shirt and will be provided on race day when our team meets up.  Details to follow for those that join.
    Please use this link below to join our team and/or to donate and show your support. Every step and every contribution helps, and together we can save lives.
