Day 70 of 100 Days of Good Karma.

Have you ever had a day that goes entirely according to schedule?

I don’t remember the last time that happened.

    I don’t think it’s ever happened.

I usually have a plan for how I expect the day to go, but life doesn’t really care what my plans are.  So I schedule in the things that are important to me.

Writing and running are at the top of that list.

I get the kids ready for school in the morning so I get up early to write.  I used to do this when I worked, too.  The practice worked then and it works now.

I work out after I drop the kids off.  This works for me because I’m already dressed for it.

Sometime back I changed my nightly habits to include laying out gym clothes.  I’ve found if I wake up and put on normal clothes I won’t go to the gym.

So I put gym clothes on first thing in the morning.

I build these activities into my schedule because they’re important to me.  I don’t wait for conditions to be perfect.

There’s always some reason to sleep late.  To leave writing until later in the day or to skip the gym.

Today’s silver lining:  Productive daily habits.

They keep my priorities in line.

What’s your silver lining today?  I love comments!

    xoxo,
    Meghan
