    Run/ Walk/ Bike/ Elliptical (Today:  0.00 miles;  Running Total: 29.57 miles)

Day 119 of *Another* 100 Days of Good Karma.

I’m almost scared to say ‘I’m feeling better’.  The last two times I’ve said ‘I’m feeling better’ I ended up passing out and in the ER.

    But here goes…

Today’s silver lining:  I’m feeling better.

    (ominous silence from Universe)

    Shh… I’m waiting for it.

    (looking around warily)

Wait… what was that?!   Ok, nope.  Nope.  It was nothing.  Nothing.

    (wringing hands nervously)

It’s gonna happen.  I know it.  I totally jinxed myself.  I shouldn’t have said I felt better.

(thunder rumbles.  clouds form in the east.)

I’m sorry.  Okay, Universe?  I’m sorry I felt better.  Don’t crush me.  You win.  Okay?!  You totally win.

    (sobs quietly)

Why must you be so mean?!

    (appeased silence from Universe)

Wait… A few tears and we’re good now?

(clouds roll away. blue skies return. birds sing in the trees.)

Okay thank you for not ending the world.

    (relieved sigh)

But I’m keeping my eye on you, Universe.  You are such a bully.

What’s your silver lining today?  I love comments!

Meghan, I’m so glad your Friday was uneventful. Please continue to take it easy and let your body rest/recuperate. Maybe go for a leisurely stroll in the neighborhood. We’re having some awesome Fall weather in Houston … ENJOY!!!

Omg–your universe must have gone to the same school or at least exchange ideas on how to make us begging for mercy.

So glad to hear that you are feeling better! As far as the back stuff goes, I’ve been there (was in the ER twice in July for my back) and completely understood what you said when you described how bad it was hurting. I am praying that the mean ole universe stays at bay for a very long time for you!!
