    Run/ Walk/ Bike/ Elliptical (Today:  3.00 miles;  Running Total: 42.00 miles)

Day 129 of *Another* 100 Days of Good Karma.

There was so much excitement yesterday, I don’t even know where to begin.  Are you ready for a view into the glamour?  Well then hold on because it’s about to get cuh-razy.

I went to the gym and wrote a blog post.

(I know what you’re thinking. How do you go up from there? But wait…)

I went thrift store shopping with a friend. The find of the day was a hard copy of Tina Fey’s book Bossypants for $2.00. Woo!

We picked up a few groceries. Then I went home and took a nap.

(Ooh… Livin’ life on the edge.)

A friend brought over dinner – homemade stew with carrots and potatoes. We chatted for a few minutes before I made myself sit down and work on a story I’m writing.

Then I folded laundry and dropping off dry cleaning.

    (I am a party animal.)

I picked up the kids. Badgered them into eating dinner, doing homework, taking baths and getting ready for bed. Then we played card games in front of the fire place.

Later, after the kids went to bed, Justin and I finished out the day on the couch watching The Walking Dead.

(I know. I know. The excitement is too much to bear. But don’t hate.  Not everyone’s cut out for this kind of madness.)

Today’s silver lining:  I love my very ordinary life.

What’s your silver lining today?  I love comments!

  1. Tina Smith says:

CrAzY day! What season are you on in the Walking Dead? Tyler and I just started binge walking and we’re on season three now.

    • Meghan says:

Whatever the current season is. We’ve been fans since it came out. LOVE it.

      • Tina says:

Curse you early fans!! I wish I’d been watching sooner. So much awesome and I didn’t know it!

        • Meghan says:

I once binge-read a ton of Preacher comic books. I think I read like sixty issues over a weekend. I was so messed up afterwards, I’m not sure the world ever returned to normal for me. Beware. I believe binge-watching multiple seasons of The Walking Dead is going to leave equal scars on you. The world will never be the same, and you might decide to start carrying a crossbow.

    Sounds like a perfect day.

One of my favorite songs is called “Ordinary” by Wayne Brady. The chorus says
“Happy here on earth in our beautiful ordinary life.”

    Your day was perfect.

This sounds like an awesome normal day, even a special day because contentment is underrated. Wishing you many more ordinary days to enjoy to the fullest. P.S. I enjoyed the book, but the cover creeps me out.
