Run/ Walk/ Bike/ Elliptical (Today: 0.00 miles; Running Total: 53.55 miles)
Day 139 of *Another* 100 Days of Good Karma.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Three reasons Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday:
The weather in Texas is brutal during the summer. By the time Thanksgiving rolls we might be in shorts, but we’re just grateful that it isn’t 95 degrees and 95% humidity.
Christmas is an awesome holiday, too, but there’s so much prep work. All the gift giving and shopping and planning that goes into Christmas… it’s chaotic. Thanksgiving is about sitting down and enjoying a meal with friends and family. Thanksgiving is about just appreciating each other.
And of course… the food.
I love Thanksgiving food. Turkey and ham. Cranberry sauce. I love the cranberry sauce. Especially, I know this is gross, the cranberry sauce out of the can. There is something special about the tart glob of gelatin with the ridges from the can still in it that makes me salivate. Stuffing. Sweet potatoes. And the pie. Oh dear Lord, the pie.
Today’s silver lining: I love Thanksgiving.
Lots of pie.
What’s your silver lining today? I love comments!
