• Another 100 Days of Good Karma: Day 230 (I Lost a Fitbit Challenge to my Kid)

    Run/ Walk/ Bike/ Elliptical (Today:  0.00 miles;  Running Total: 186.13 miles)

Day 230 of *Another* 100 Days of Good Karma.

The tape over the ink marks itches. I’m trying not to scratch and mess them up.  Sometimes I forget, though, and catch myself scratching at them through my shirt.

In addition to trying not to scratch off the marks I’m nervous about sweating off the marker. I don’t want to throw off the plan for radiation and make the doctors have to start over. So I didn’t do much today in the way of physical activity. Unless you count folding clothes and doing dishes (I don’t).

My low activity level worked in Hannah’s favor though.

We got Hannah a Fitbit (Yes we totally lied about her age when we set it up. Shh. Don’t tell.). She’s been asking for one for months. She sees me wear mine all the time, and she wanted to try one.

Yesterday she challenged me to a step competition. She kicked my ass.

Since I didn’t do much I only got about 3,000 steps. She, on the other hand, was near 11,000 when she went to bed.

I guess I need to up my game.

Today’s silver lining: A lazy day for me turned into an ego boost for my kid.

What’s your silver lining today?  I love comments!
