Run/ Walk/ Bike/ Elliptical (Today: 0.00 miles; Running Total: 206.09 miles)
Day 249 of *Another* 100 Days of Good Karma.
I did this strength training workout today: Get Fit Fast Boot Camp #2. I went at my own pace and did the moves I could. If I couldn’t do the move I used the modified version. By the end I was cursing the instructor and dripping sweat all over the place. Which means they did their job.
My mom called me and fulfilled a St. Patrick’s Day family tradition. She played The Unicorn Song for me over the phone. When my brother and I were kids she’d start every St. Patrick’s Day by playing this song. There were many years when she woke us up for school blaring The Irish Rovers into the dark of our rooms.
At the time it was infuriating. Teenagers don’t want to get up under the best of circumstances, let alone to a song about unicorns. Now my St. Patrick’s Day isn’t complete without hearing about Noah looking for the unicorns.
After radiation I returned all the stuff I found after the birthday party. I found a sweatshirt, one full pair of socks, one half pair of socks, a pair of shoes, a shirt, a pillow and an entire bag full of X-box games. Which leaves me wondering what exactly was packed in their bags when they went home.
Later Justin and I fulfilled our own St. Patrick’s Day tradition. We sat on the couch, watched a television show and drank Guinness.
Today’s silver lining: It was a good day to be Irish.
What’s your silver lining today? I love comments!
