    Run/ Walk/ Bike/ Elliptical (Today:  2.95 miles;  Running Total: 218.59 miles)

Day 259 of *Another* 100 Days of Good Karma.

During my radiation appointment my right arm started going numb.  I got that heavy limb-falling-asleep feeling about half way through treatment. I’ve had to lay with this arm over my head for 17 treatments now and this is the first time it’s felt this way.

It is so hard to hold still when you have a limb go to sleep. It bordered on pain and I still had another ten to fifteen minutes of treatment to get through. If I moved the techs would have to start over and extend how long I’d be in that position.

When treatment ended and they told me, “You can bring your arm down now,” I was so relieved I almost cheered.

When I moved my arm it felt wooden and heavy, my hand tingling with pins and needles. I shook it out vigorously and asked, “Is that going to happen from now on?”

The nurse said, “Hopefully not. You might just be tired from the week and your arm just didn’t want to lay in that position.”

I hope she didn’t just say that to make me feel better.

Today’s silver lining: 17 treatments down. 13 to go.

What’s your silver lining today?  I love comments!
