Day 90 of 100 Days of Good Karma.
It seems ridiculous that I’d need a hair cut while my hair is in the process of falling out, but that’s what I had to do today.
Because while most of my hair has fallen out, not all of it has. And this in-between state is less than sexy.
Mostly what’s left is gray.
Gray hairs are made of some sturdy stuff. Like cockroaches left over after a nuclear war, my gray hair seems determined to hold on through chemotherapy.
Unfortunately there isn’t enough hair left to cover my entire head. Just enough to make me look patchy.
I knew I needed a haircut when a few hairs stood up straight off the top of my head and poked through the top of my scarf. So I went today and got my hair cleaned up.
I still don’t much like being bald.
In fact, I hate it.
Today’s silver lining: This haircut wasn’t nearly as traumatic as shaving my head the first time.
And, bonus silver lining: I still have my eyebrows!
What’s your silver lining today? I love comments!
