Run/ Walk/ Bike/ Elliptical (Today: 0.00 miles; Running Total: 53.55 miles)
Day 141 of *Another* 100 Days of Good Karma.
Justin, the kids and I have spent the last few days at the family ranch in south Texas. The ranch is my home away from home. The place where I come to feel at peace with the world.
I wish I could capture a picture of the how fresh the breeze smells, or the warmth of the sun on my skin.
No pictures I take will give you sound of silence the further you get from the main road. I can’t hear cars out here. And you know what?
I don’t miss them in the slightest.
I wish an image could share the simple joy of spending time with loved ones in the shade of a tree canopy beneath a sky so blue it breaks your heart a little.
I wish a picture could convey that, here, there’s no need to rush. Not anywhere. For any reason.
I can only show you how red the dirt is. How it gets on my skin, gets under my skin.
Everyone should have a place to run to.
This is mine.
Enjoy!
Today’s silver lining: Red dirt is good for the soul.
What’s your silver lining today? I love comments!
