Run/ Walk/ Bike/ Elliptical (Today: 4.35 miles; Running Total: 121.15 miles)
Strength Training (Today: foam roller and 3 wall sits for 1 minute each)
Day 182 of *Another* 100 Days of Good Karma.
I had a crazy, uber-productive day.
I did 4.35 miles on the elliptical machine. I did strength training. I wrote 1000+ words on a story I’m working on. I picked up the house. I finished laundry. AND I won awesome mom points when I took the kids to Barnes and Noble to pick out books.
Today was one of those amazingly super productive days where things just go right. It was the kind of day that you hold up to bad days like a crucifix to a vampire just so you can watch it hiss and spit in fear.
SEE MY AWESOMENESS, SPAWN OF SATAN. SEE IT AND DIE.
It was one of those ‘holy shit I need to do that EVERY DAY’ days.
It was a day you analyze and break down so you can study each individual component in the hopes to clone it like Dolly the sheep. That way you could have a whole herd of perfectly cloned good days that never end and also you also never run out of fleece. Wait… what? I don’t know. Never mind.
Because if I could duplicate a day like today, well, then my life would be perfect and rainbows and sunshine would shoot out of my asshole to coat the world in glittery happiness.
(Cut to image of hordes of people dancing in the streets laughing and happily flinging piles of glitter into the air.)
It was a good day. A great day. A day where everything fell into line and the writing gods and workout gods and parenting gods all got together and had a party where they got squiffy on god liquor and, thus felt generous. Those drunken gods looked down on me and said, “That one. Today we pick that one.”
Today was one of those days where so much shit goes right that you’re a little suspicious and thus extra careful while driving because surely all this awesome will be balanced out by being hit by a semi (thank you, Fiction, for teaching me to never trust when good things happen to the main character).
But I’m happy to say I survived today. And, you guys…
Today’s silver lining: It was fucking awesome.
What’s your silver lining today? I love comments!
